  Team Hot Shots Defends Baker Title

Baker WinnersTeam Hot Shots (L to R: Steve Greenspan, Andy DeCaluwe, Samantha Kelly, Russ DeCaluwe, Scott Frew) repeated as Baker Shootout Tournament Champions by defeating Team Russ Freeman (Russ Freeman, Chris Colosimo, Pete Oliva, Andy Kohon, Adam Triggs) 2-0 in the best of 3 Championship Match to win the $1350 First Prize. Team Russ Freeman earned $750 for second. Team Russ Freeman defeated The Expendibles (Andy Donaldson, Don Widenhofer, Steve Goudreau, Jody Oles, Joe Marzec) 2-0 in the semi-final match to earn their spot in the finals. The Expendibles earned $450 for 3rd Place.

"Hot Shots" Win Baker Team Shootout VII

Congratulations to The Hot Shots, winners of Baker Team Shootout VII.  Team Hot Shots, Lake Zurich, IL (Russell DeCaluwe, Kathryn Saffold, Kyle Larson, Andy DeCaluwe, Andrew Loose) qualified fifth for the Bracket Finals and defeated Team Doughboy, Crystal Lake, IL who qualified second (T.A. Wierchke, Kay Stanish, Tim Wierschke, Jeff Stanish, Paul Bober) 247-224 and 240-208 to take home the $1500 first prize.  Team Doughboy won $750 for second. Get A Grip Pro Shop Owner Ryan Yanel Rolls House Record 864

Raymond’s would like to congratulate Ryan Yanel on his record breaking performance on Tuesday, October 5th during the Tuesday Mens League when he rolled games of 290-274-300 for an 864 series. This series broke the previous House Record of 857 held by Gene Holst and John Henry Begley. Ryan had a string of 20 consecutive strikes from the 2nd frame of the first game thru the 9th frame of the second game when in the 10th frame he left the “bucket” (2-4-5-8 pin spare) which he converted and then followed with an 8 count fill in the 10th frame. The third game Yanel reeled off 12 consecutive strikes for 300 to complete his record series. Ryan also was able to break our Strike Jackpot during his record breaking effort and earned over $2100! Earlier this year Ryan won the PBA Raymond’s Bowl Miller Lite Open for $2600. Congratulations and great bowling Ryan!

Evitts and Colclasure Dominate Mixed Baker Doubles

Caryn Evitts, Waukegan, IL and Chris Colclasure, Grayslake, IL led from wire to wire to win the Mixed Baker Doubles tournament held at Raymond’s October 16th.and claim the $250 first prize. 16 doubles teams bowled 6 games of qualifying before cutting to the top 5 doubles teams for a stepladder final. All games were competed using the Baker Bowling Format where doubles partners bowled games together alternating frames. Chris and Caryn led qualifying with a 238.5 average for 6 games. Steve Greenspan, Buffalo Grove, IL and Jonquay Armon, Roselle, IL qualified 5th with a 213.3 average and climbed the stepladder winning their first 3 matches to meet Evitts and Colclasure in the final match. The final match came down to the 10th frame with Jonquay Armon needing a double in the 10th frame to seal the victory, but she missed on the 2nd ball to give Caryn and Chris the victory 238-228. Three Raymond's Bowlers Inducted To
McHenry County Bowlers Hall of Fame

Raymond's would like to congratulate league bowlers Eugene Holst, Virginia Jeeninga, and Sindy Popp on their induction to the McHenry County Bowlers Hall of Fame at D'Adreas Banquet Center in Crystal Lake on Saturday, September 18th. Eugene was inducted in the Superior Performance Category while Virginia and Sindy Popp were inducted in the Meritorious Service Category. Bowlers are nominated by fellow bowlers for this prestigious honor and then the McHenry County USBC Hall of Fame committee reviews all nominations before selecting each years inductees. Congratulations To Vegas League Winners!

Raymond's would like to congratulate our 3 teams which each won $2000 Vegas Trips during our Summer Vegas League. The league champion was MoFo's (Trinitie May, Dave Watkins, Cindy Smith, and Katie Watkins, and the drawing winners were Team 10 (Chad Strange, Ellen Sosnowski, Laura Buchanan, and Kevin McConville) and team Polish Bawlers (Eric Zawislak Sr., Eric Zawislak Jr., Rhonda Zawislak, and Wes Thompson).

18 Year Old John Henry Begley Ties House Record of 857!

Raymond's would like to congratulate John Henry Begley, age 18, for rolling an 857 series during the Sunday Morning Hangover League on Sunday, January 24th. John Henry started out with the first 10 strikes in a row the first game before leaving a 4 pin on the 11th shot for a 289 game. He then followed up with games of 279 and then 289 again the third game. John Henry's 857 series ties the previous House Record of 857 (300-257-300) which was bowled by Gene Holst on the Monday Night Mixed League on February 11, 2008.

John Henry's 289 the 3rd game propelled his team to an astonishing 802 scratch game. His teammates Chuck Gordon and Ed Begley Sr. (John Henry's Father) rolled a 269 and 246 game respectively en route to the 802 game.
Great Bowling By All!

 

 
  Ryan Reitmayer rolled a perfect 300 game in our Thursday night Adult/Youth PBA League. Ryan, 14, was bowling on the Viper pattern on July 15, 2009 when he threw his perfect game.
  Joe Kuna presents Tom Dawson his PBA Experience Sport Bowling Award for the 11 strikes in a row he rolled en route to a 296 game in the Tuesday PBA Experience Summer League on 7/14/2009. Congratulations Tom!
